EITA-IP has a wide range of responsibilities, primarily dedicated to serving the public interest, be it charitable, educational or scientific causes. These responsibilities are shared between the Board, staff and volunteers, but the core focus remains on maintaining the organization's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability.

- Roles and Responsibilities

The Business Development department of the EITA-IP is primarily responsible for raising funds to support the mission and operations of the organization. The department's work goes beyond fundraising and includes donor cultivation, grant writing, event planning and strategic planning to ensure the long-term sustainability of the EITA-IP.

  • Fundraising: This is a core function that involves individual donations, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants and other funding sources.
  • Grant Writing: Develop and submit grant applications to secure funding from a variety of sources.
  • Event Planning: Organize and execute events to raise funds and increase visibility.
  • Donor Cultivation: Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with organizational leadership to develop and implement funding and resource acquisition strategies.
  • Prospective Donor Research: Identify and research potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Administration: Track and communicate with donors to ensure they understand the impact of their donations and stay engaged.
  • Marketing and Communications: Work with the Marketing team to promote EITA-IP's mission and initiatives and raise public awareness of funding opportunities.
  • Business Development: In some cases, the Business Development Department may also be involved in creating income-generating projects or partnerships that are in line with the EITA-IP mission.
