Registration

The EITA-New Materials 2014 at NCKU (or the EITA-EITC 2014) is a free event, no charge. Registration for the event is now open.

Two ways to register:

• Online Conference Registration: please click the following link to register: Start Registration.
• Conference Registration Form: Please download and complete the registration form and send in. Please send your registration form to: eita.world@gmail.com (The deadline is November 20, 2014).

Insurance: Participants are advised to arrange adequate travel and health insurance themselves.

Conference Room Assignments:

The EITA-New Materials 2014 (or the EITA-EITC 2014) will be held at [Rooms: Chung Hwa Hall (2F) and Conference Rooms: I, II, III, and IV (3F)], the Yun-Suan Sun Green Building Research Center (the Magic School of Green Technologies), Li Hsing Campus, National Cheng Kung University (成功大學力行校區孫運璿綠建築研究大樓) (Address: 70101台南市東區小東路25號).

NCKU Wi-Fi Internet Access:

Wireless connections for guests and visitors of NCKU are available through the NCKU Campus Wireless network (成功大學校園無線網路).

How to Connect: It is easy to connect to the NCKU Campus Wi-Fi Service with a wireless device. Since there are no restrictions to connecting, your device should be able to "see" the network as one of the open wireless options and connect instantly. If your device can not see the network, please call 06-2757575 Ext. 61017 or Ext. 61010 for assistance.

Getting to Campus

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is conveniently located close to the Taiwan Railways Administration - Train (TRA)(台灣鐵路) station and has easy access to Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)(台灣高鐵).

 By TRA Train:

• Take TRA Train to the TRA Tainan Station (臺鐵臺南車站).
• NCKU is located on Ta-Shueh (University) Road about 100m from the rear entrance of the TRA Tainan Station (臺鐵臺南車站).

By THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail):

Those who arrived at the Tainan Station by Taiwan High Speed Rail (高鐵台南站) can proceed to the interchange corridor on the 2nd floor of the High Speed Rail Tainan Station (高鐵台南站) or the No.1 exit on the 1st floor lobby to take the shuttle train at the Sharon Station to the TRA Tainan Train Station (臺鐵臺南車站). The shuttle train appears every 30 minutes and arrives at the TRA Tainan Train Station (臺鐵臺南車站) in about 20 minutes. You can walk from the TRA Tainan Train Station (臺鐵臺南車站) to National Cheng Kung University.

Recommended Conference Hotels

The following are the recommended conference hotels (closest to the NCKU Yun-Suan Sun Green Building Research Center):

• Zenda Suites (台南成大會館) is located next to the NCKU main campus and is within 5 minutes walking distance to the Medical College.
• Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel (香格里拉台南遠東國際大飯店) is located next to the NCKU main campus, and within walking distances to downtown Tainan. The hotel is conveniently situated next to the city's main transportation hub, adjacent to the TRA Tainan Main Train Station. The Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)(台灣高鐵) is only a 25-minute drive away.
• Hotel Tainan (台南大飯店) is located in the prime district of Tainan. The hotel is right across the street from the Tainan railway station and within walking distance to several bus stations, etc.. The NCKU is also within 1-mile radius.

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport

(Taipei 101, Tourism Bureau, R.O.C. (Taiwan))

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (IATA: TPE) is an international airport serving the capital city of Taiwan, Taipei, and the northern parts of the country. Located about 40 kilometers west of Taipei in Dayuan Township, Taoyuan County, Taiwan, the airport is Taiwan's largest airport.

The transportation network connecting to the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is highly efficient. Travelers entering or departing the country can choose from a variety of transportation methods to and from the airport. The Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)(台灣高鐵) which allows direct access to all major cities and the buses which travel between various regions make it extremely convenient for travelers to go to and from the destination of their choice and the airport. Visitors may also take a taxi or a tour bus if they wish to reach their destination directly.

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport(TPE) is situated approximately 300 kilometers from Tainan, and is a 90 minute ride via Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)(台灣高鐵) or 3.5 hours by car/bus to Tainan. National Cheng Kung University can be reached by the following ways:
